Football Recap: D.C. Everest Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact D.C. Everest can now relate to. They fell 19-13 to the Brookfield East Spartans on Friday. The game marked the Evergreens' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Although D.C. Everest took the loss, they still got scores from Xavier Edwards and Corbin Enzenroth.

D.C. Everest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Brookfield East, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

D.C. Everest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookfield East, they will face off against Arrowhead on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Spartans 13.4, the Warhawks 12.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
