Basketball Recap: Caldwell Parish Takes a Loss

Caldwell Parish lost against Buckeye back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Caldwell Parish Spartans were outmatched by the Buckeye Panthers and fell 48-12. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Panthers are ranked 98th).

Caldwell Parish has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season. As for Buckeye, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caldwell Parish will face off against Family Community Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buckeye has already played their next game (against Avoyelles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
