Softball Recap: Hart County Triumphs

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hart County and Adair County meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Raiders never let the Indians get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Raiders have posted against the Indians since March 23, 2018.

Hart County's victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Adair County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Hart County will head out to face off against Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cougars have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.67 runs per game on average), something the Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Adair County, they will welcome Campbellsville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
