Softball Recap: Villa Madonna Takes a Loss

Villa Madonna suffered their biggest loss since March 22nd on Tuesday. They came up short against the Beechwood Tigers, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-11 on April 8th.

Villa Madonna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Cotton, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Cotton has hit this season.

Villa Madonna's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Beechwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Villa Madonna will square off against Williamstown at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beechwood, they will challenge Ludlow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
