Basketball Recap: Fulton Sets Scoring Season-High Against Ashley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fulton). They put the hurt on the Ashley Bears with a sharp 61-36 win on Tuesday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Pirates had established a 21 point advantage.

Ashley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ellie Drummond, who posted 16 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. What's more, Drummond also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Peyton Rohn, who earned four points and five steals.

Fulton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5. As for Ashley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fulton will face off against Vestaburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ashley, they will challenge St. Charles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
