Baseball Recap: Rolling Meadows Takes a Loss

Rolling Meadows was the 1-0 winner over Buffalo Grove when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell 6-2 to the Bison on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Will Fiore made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Rolling Meadows' record now sits at 18-10. As for Buffalo Grove, they moved to 11-18 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rolling Meadows will take on Conant at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season. As for Buffalo Grove, they will challenge Hersey at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
