Uintah is 7-2 against Orem since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Uintah Utes will head out on the road to challenge the Orem Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Uintah came up short against Mountain View and fell 52-40. The Utes have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Orem challenged Payson on Tuesday. Orem had to suffer through a 66-24 loss at the hands of Payson. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Lions are ranked fifth).

Orem has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Uintah, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Uintah didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Orem when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 41-36 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Uintah since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
