Chelsea and Pelham are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Chelsea Hornets will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against the Pelham Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Chelsea is headed into Thursday's match hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They came up short against Huffman on Monday, falling 6-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Hornets came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Vikings are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, Pelham had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one goal.

Chelsea's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Pelham, their win bumped their record up to 10-3-2.

Chelsea beat Pelham 2-0 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Chelsea repeat their success, or does Pelham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
