Basketball Recap: Greencastle Piles Up the Points Against Cloverdale

Greencastle won the last time they faced Cloverdale and things went their way on Saturday too. The Greencastle Tiger Cubs took their contest with ease, bagging a 51-21 victory over the Cloverdale Clovers. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Tiger Cubs had established a 28 point advantage.

Greencastle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bailey Brown, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Brown has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarah Simmerman, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points along with six boards and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Greencastle and bumps their season record up to 7-11. As for Cloverdale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Greencastle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-19 defeat against Northview on the 13th. Cloverdale has also already played their next contest, a 46-21 loss against Owen Valley on the 13th.
