Basketball Recap: Meghan Mcmahon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sleepy Hollow over Edgemont

Sleepy Hollow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 35-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edgemont Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Horsemen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 37-25 back in January.

Several Horsemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Meghan McMahon, who posted eight points. That's the most points McMahon has posted since back in December of 2024.

Sleepy Hollow's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Edgemont, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sleepy Hollow has already played their next matchup (against Nyack), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Edgemont has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Peekskill.
