The Bethel Christian Academy Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Living Water Christian Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bethel Christian Academy has five straight wins, Living Water Christian has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bethel Christian Academy proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by six) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Faith Christian Academy 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since May 10, 2024.
Jamey Williams made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Williams wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Coulby Mcqueery, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Meanwhile, Living Water Christian lost 22-3 to Scotland Christian Academy on April 8th.
Jordan James made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Gavin Halso also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Bethel Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Living Water Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything went Bethel Christian Academy's way against Living Water Christian when the teams last played back in March, as Bethel Christian Academy made off with a 29-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
