Softball Recap: Princeton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Princeton hadn't done well against Colerain recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Vikings never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their 11-game losing streak.

Princeton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 2-14. As for Colerain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Princeton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colerain, they will head out on the road to square off against Lakota West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Firebirds have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
