Baseball Game Preview: Nathan Hale Raiders vs. Cleveland Eagles

Nathan Hale has gone a perfect 10-0 against Cleveland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Raiders will face off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Nathan Hale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Nathan Hale came up short against West Seattle and fell 9-5. The Raiders have struggled against West Seattle recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Andrew Goodman put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Goodman was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Nathan Hale: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-8-1 otherwise.

Goodman wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Finn Leach, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to Ingraham.

Nathan Hale's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Cleveland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Everything went Nathan Hale's way against Cleveland in their previous matchup on Monday, as Nathan Hale made off with a 10-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
