Softball Recap: Lake Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lake can now relate to. They came up short against the Puckett Wolves on Thursday, falling 10-4. The Hornets' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Alyssa Sockey and Kinsley Woods did some serious damage despite the final result: Sockey got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Woods went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Lake's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Puckett, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-7-1.

As of now, neither Lake nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
