Recap: Crestwood Knights vs. Darlington Falcons
The Darlington Falcons typically have all the answers at home, but on Wednesday the Crestwood Knights proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Falcons 53-51. The victory was nothing new for Crestwood as they're now sitting on three straight.
Crestwood was led to victory by Saniya Williams and Javiah Martin. Williams dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Martin scored 19 points along with three steals and two blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Crestwood's points. Another player making a difference was London Vaughn, who scored eight points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Crestwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Darlington, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5.
Crestwood will take on Marlboro County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marlboro County is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Darlington, they will head out on the road to take on Camden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Camden is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
