Basketball Recap: Heritage Gets the Win

Heritage's game on Tuesday was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They secured a 58-54 W over the Fort Wayne North Side Legends. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

It was another big night for Taurean Brown, who went 10-for-17 to rack up 21 points in addition to five boards and four steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Lucas Taylor also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne North Side lost, don't look at Jordan Woods. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Woods now owns an excellent 45.6% field goal percentage. Sebastian Moore was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Heritage's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Fort Wayne North Side, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-12.

Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 73-66 defeat against New Haven on the 21st.
