Soccer Game Preview: Edmond Santa Fe vs. Yukon

The Edmond Santa Fe Wolves will venture away from home to challenge the Yukon Millers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Edmond Santa Fe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: Norman, who was ranked 11th at the time (Edmond Santa Fe was ranked eighth). Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Yukon entered their tilt with Eisenhower on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for Yukon, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Eisenhower from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Allie Trindle led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Edmond Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Yukon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Edmond Santa Fe couldn't quite get it done against Yukon when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as they fell 2-0. Can Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
