Soccer Recap: Germantown Takes a Loss

Germantown and Oxford squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Germantown had to settle for second. They came up short against the Oxford Chargers, falling 4-1. The Mavericks haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Germantown's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-2. As for Oxford, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2-2.

Germantown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oxford, they will challenge Clinton at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Oxford's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
