Baseball Game Preview: Holy Cross Tigers vs. Central Catholic Eagles

The Holy Cross Tigers will face off against the Central Catholic Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Cross will be strutting in after a victory while Central Catholic will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, Holy Cross got the win against Warren Easton by a conclusive 12-2. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

Kaiden Rauch tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dom Pellegrin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Collin Tallet, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Central Catholic came up short against South Terrebonne on Saturday, falling 11-5.

Holy Cross' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 23-4. As for Central Catholic, they now have a losing record of 13-14.
