Football Recap: Dr. Phillips Comes Up Short

Dr. Phillips managed to slip by Horizon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Dr. Phillips Panthers had to suffer through a 40-7 loss at the hands of the Horizon Hawks. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-0.

Dr. Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Horizon, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Dr. Phillips will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. As for Horizon, they will host Apopka at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Apopka 9.2, Horizon 2.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
