Volleyball Recap: Wink Takes a Loss

Wink's tournament run continued when they took on Peaster on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Greyhounds. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Peaster to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyler Shirley, who had 11 digs and three assists. That's the most assists Shirley has posted over her last 12 games. Malory Hockaday also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Wink's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Peaster, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Wink will venture away from home to take on Pecos at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peaster, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Sulphur Springs on the 23rd.
