Sierra Canyon and Oakland Soldiers guard is gaining plenty of fans this summer — including Kansas head coach Bill Self.

Class of 2017 guard is one of the most exciting high school basketball players in America.

There are players with bigger reps and a longer list of scholarship offers than Remy Martin of Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) and club team Oakland Soldiers, but there aren't a lot of players who are more fun to watch.

Our very own Zack Poff caught Martin in action last week at the Peach Jam, where he averaged 17.0 points and 4.5 assists per outing with the Soldiers. He controlled the action in the team's pool play opener with 24 points and eight assists against Athletes First.

247Sports lists Martin as a Top 150 prospect in the 2017 class. Expect that ranking to improve in the coming months.

USC, Connecticut and Kansas are among the schools that have offered.

As a sophomore on a loaded Sierra Canyon roster, Martin averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists per game last season. The Trailblazers — a potential national title contender in 2015-16 — finished 26-4 and won California's Division V state title.
