Baseball Recap: Fisher Takes a Loss

Fisher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Haynes Academy, falling 10-2. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Haynes Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Fisher saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Haiden Martin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Jacob Bourgeois also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Fisher's loss dropped their record down to 13-8-1. As for Haynes Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fisher will square off against Thomas Jefferson at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Haynes Academy, they will take on Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
