Volleyball Recap: Aili Haisley and Ainsley Anderson Secure Win for the Vanguard School

The Vanguard School won the last time they faced Woodland Park and things went their way on Thursday too. The Coursers came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 3-1.

While The Vanguard School might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Woodland Park scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 12-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Leading The Vanguard School to victory were Ainsley Anderson and Aili Haisley. Anderson had nine digs and four aces, while Haisley had 40 digs. Haisley has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more digs the last 21 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: The Vanguard School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces every time they've taken the court this season.

The Vanguard School's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Woodland Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

The Vanguard School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Pueblo County on the 27th. As for Woodland Park, they will challenge Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
