Volleyball Recap: Bryan Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bryan and Napoleon had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Golden Bears fell 3-1 to the Wildcats on Saturday. The Golden Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Bryan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.

Ava Neubig paced Bryan's offense, picking up 14 kills. Neubig got some help from Jozie Cordy and her 30 assists. Finally, Kelsie Thiel kept Bryan's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Napoleon, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Bryan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Paulding on the 25th. As for Napoleon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Fairview on the 25th.
