Softball Recap: Fort Leboeuf Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Fort LeBoeuf is still undefeated this season after their contest against Hickory on Thursday, but Hickory came as close as anyone has to beating them. Fort LeBoeuf came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Hickory. For the Bison, this counts as revenge for the 12-8 win the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

Fort LeBoeuf saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Stolz, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. That's the most doubles Stolz has posted since back in April of 2024. Lillian McKinney also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Fort LeBoeuf's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Hickory, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Fort LeBoeuf will head out to face off against Meadville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickory, they will be playing at home against Sharpsville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
