Basketball Recap: Raytown South Skates Past Excelsior Springs with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Raytown South). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Excelsior Springs Tigers 79-30. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cardinals as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Raytown South's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Excelsior Springs, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raytown South and Central will round out the year against one another at at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. As for Excelsior Springs, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Odessa at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
