Basketball Recap: Straughn Tigers vs. Hillcrest Jaguars
Make it nine blowout wins for the Straughn Tigers this season. They breezed by Hillcrest at home to the tune of 48-12 on Monday. Given Straughn's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Jaguars are ranked 302nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ora Hall, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. Allyx Williamson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Straughn has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Hillcrest, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-14.
Straughn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hillcrest also has no future games currently scheduled.
