Volleyball Recap: Wilkes-Barre Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jordany Rodriguez and Tijan Njai

Wilkes-Barre was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastern York Golden Knights.

Tijan Njai and Jordany Rodriguez certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Njai had ten assists and three digs, while Rodriguez had five kills and five digs.

Wilkes-Barre's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2.

Wilkes-Barre has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Holy Redeemer on the 29th. As for Eastern York, they will head out on the road to take on York Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
