Baseball Recap: Plain Dealing Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Plain Dealing had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 13-12 W against the Ringgold Redskins. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lions have posted against the Redskins since March 28, 2022.

Bo Bailey was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cade DeMoss, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs.

Plain Dealing was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive contests.

Plain Dealing's win bumped their record up to 9-10-1. As for Ringgold, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Plain Dealing will head out to face off against Lakeview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ringgold, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arcadia at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
