Girls Prep had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Father Ryan on Wednesday. The Bruisers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Irish a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Bruisers have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Addison Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Girls Prep got a massive performance out of Jayla Gladden, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sky Marshall, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Girls Prep's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Father Ryan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record this season.

Girls Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against Father Ryan: the pair will be back at it again later today.
