Volleyball Recap: Cole Valley Christian Falls Short Against Ranked the Ambrose School

Cole Valley Christian faced The Ambrose School in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Chargers fell 2-0 to the Archers. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Archers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Emily Hedegaard paced Cole Valley Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Hedegaard got some help from Neva Kuhns and her 15 assists. Hedegaard also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Alyssa Hedegaard, racking up two apiece.

Cole Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for The Ambrose School, their record is now 2-0.

Cole Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Kuna on the 23rd. As for The Ambrose School, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Mountain View on the 23rd.
