Football Recap: Northview Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northview can now relate to. They fell 31-19 to the Bonita Bearcats on Friday. The contest marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bonita to victory, but perhaps none more so than Travis Lippert, who threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Lippert a new career-high in rushing yards (15). Bonita also got a significant boost from Ethan Sandoval, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 130 yards.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Bonita, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bonita, they will host Loyola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
