Preview: West Mesquite Wranglers vs. Seagoville Dragons

The West Mesquite Wranglers will head out on the road to face off against the Seagoville Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

West Mesquite scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They blew past North Garland 84-63. That looming 84-63 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for West Mesquite yet this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Seagoville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 97-94 win from a begrudging Dragonssquad. The win was familiar territory for they who now have three in a row.

Travion Hall was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with five rebounds. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gregory Fossett, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.

West Mesquite is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Seagoville, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

West Mesquite came out on top in a nail-biter against Seagoville in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 54-52. Does West Mesquite have another victory up their sleeve, or will Seagoville turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
