Baseball Recap: Keystone Oaks Triumphs

Keystone Oaks lost to South Allegheny back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Golden Eagles came out on top against the Gladiators by a score of 5-2. The game was the first time the Golden Eagles have beaten the Gladiators on their field since April 13, 2022.

Nate Rohe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up nine Ks. He has become a key player for Keystone Oaks: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-9 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ian Bickel, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Keystone Oaks is undefeated when Bickel posts two or more runs, but 5-9 otherwise.

The win got Keystone Oaks back to even at 9-9. As for South Allegheny, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

As of now, neither Keystone Oaks nor the Gladiators have any future games scheduled.
