Basketball Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Southside faced off against Wilcox Central on Friday. The Southside Panthers had to suffer through a 50-17 loss at the hands of the Wilcox Central Jaguars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered against the Jaguars since November 13, 2015.

Southside dropped their record down to 4-10 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Wilcox Central, they moved to 11-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Thomasville the next time they take the court. Southside will head out to face Thomasville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Wilcox Central will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
