Baseball Recap: Forge Christian Has No Trouble Against Wray

It's playoff time, and Forge Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Wray Eagles 10-1 on Saturday. The Fury might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.

Brock Wycoff spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Burke Jasa was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonah Boykin, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Forge Christian and bumps their season record up to 21-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Wray, they moved to 12-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Forge Christian nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
