Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Antonian Prep walked away with it. Everything went their way against the St. Agnes Academy Tigers on Monday as they made off with an 11-5 win. Winning may never get old, but the Apaches sure are getting used to it with their 19th in a row.
Analisa Guerrero made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. Guerrero was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Trinity Silva was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Bella Vasquez was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Antonian Prep's victory bumped their record up to 26-7. As for St. Agnes Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 17-6-1.
As of now, neither Antonian Prep nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
