Basketball Recap: Savannah Christian Takes a Loss

Savannah Christian lost against Toombs County back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Savannah Christian Raiders fell 54-41 to the Toombs County Bulldogs. The Raiders' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Arianna Hill had an outrageously good game for Toombs County as she posted 20 points and seven boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hill has scored at least a third of Toombs County's points. Makayla Brewton was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

Savannah Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Toombs County, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-13.

Savannah Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Woodville-Tompkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Savannah Christian is facing Woodville-Tompkins at the right time seeing as Woodville-Tompkins is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Toombs County, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against St. Vincent's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
