Basketball Game Preview: Hayward Hurricanes vs. St. Croix Falls Saints

The Hayward Hurricanes will head out to take on the St. Croix Falls Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayward knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 games -- so hopefully St. Croix Falls likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, Hayward took a blow against Northwestern, falling 102-73. The Hurricanes haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, St. Croix Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chetek-Weyerhaeuser.

St. Croix Falls' loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Hayward, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 4-13.

Hayward strolled past St. Croix Falls in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 82-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hayward since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
