Softball Recap: Orange Comes Up Short

After flying high against Person last Friday, Orange came back down to earth. Orange came up short against the Southern Alamance Patriots on Tuesday, falling 13-6. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 8-4 to the Patriots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Allie Carden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Katie Carden, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Orange's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Southern Alamance, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Coincidentally, Orange and Southern Alamance will both be playing Eastern Alamance the next time they take the field. Orange will head out to face Eastern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Southern Alamance will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
