Soccer Game Preview: Elgin vs. Southeast

The Elgin Owls will square off against the Southeast Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elgin has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Elgin is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against MacArthur on Thursday. They lost 6-1 to the Highlanders. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Elgin were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, Southeast kept a clean sheet against Altus on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 4-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Southeast.

Elgin's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Southeast, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
