The Pilgrim Academy can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Cape May County Tech Hawks. The Pioneers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The Pilgrim Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke McGonagle, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. That's the most runs McGonagle has posted since back in March.

The Pilgrim Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-9. As for Cape May County Tech, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19-1.

Coming up, The Pilgrim Academy will take on Atlantic Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Pioneers surely won't give up without a fight. Cape May County Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
