Recap: Nacogdoches vs. Huntsville
The Nacogdoches Dragons were the 4-1 winner over the Huntsville Hornets when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Nacogdoches fell just short of Huntsville by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Nacogdoches came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Huntsville is ranked 306th).

Nacogdoches' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Huntsville, they now have a winning record of 5-4-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nacogdoches will take on Porter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Porter's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Huntsville, they will be playing at home against Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Huntsville's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
