Basketball Recap: Salem Finds Playoff Glory Versus Manor

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Salem walked away with it. They walked away with a 50-43 win over the Manor Mustangs on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Salem's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabby Crawley, who posted 19 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Emme Custer, who scored 12 points and eight boards.

Salem smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive games.

Salem pushed their record up to 27-2 with the victory, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. As for Manor, the loss snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 22-2 record.

Looking ahead, Salem will challenge Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Salem surely won't give up without a fight. Manor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
