Academy of the Holy Names proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Tampa Catholic Crusaders 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Jaguars: when they faced off against the Crusaders back in March, they had to take a 9-7 loss.

Academy of the Holy Names' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kacey Scott, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double. Elise McQuiston also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Academy of the Holy Names hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tampa Catholic struck out seven times.

The win got Academy of the Holy Names back to even at 9-9. As for Tampa Catholic, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 10-8.

As of now, neither Academy of the Holy Names nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
