Baseball Recap: Omro Takes a Loss

Omro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Fond du Lac Orioles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Omro saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Boynton, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Cole Marine was another, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

Omro's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for North Fond du Lac, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Omro has already played their next matchup (against Winneconne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Fond du Lac, they will be playing at home against Campbellsport at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Orioles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
