After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Wednesday, Riverview Academy of Math and Science came back down to earth. The Riverview Academy of Math and Science Barracudas took a 60-44 bruising from the Florida College Academy Falcons on Friday. The Barracudas' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Riverview Academy of Math and Science now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Florida College Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverview Academy of Math and Science will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Universal Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Riverview Academy of Math and Science is facing Universal Academy at the right time seeing as Universal Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Florida College Academy also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Academy at the Lakes at 6:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
