Softball Game Preview: Sealy Tigers vs. Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles

The Sealy Tigers will square off against the Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Sealy's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Fort Bend Willowridge has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Sealy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Stafford 20-3 on Tuesday. The Tigers have beaten the Spartans the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Spartans has come to flipping the script.

Charlee Ramos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caylee Syzdek, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Karly Kram12, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Sealy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stafford struck out seven times.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Willowridge came up short against Alief Elsik on March 1st, falling 18-5.

Sealy's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
