Baseball Recap: Montello Comes Up Short

Montello fell victim to Pardeeville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 10-0 to the Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hilltoppers of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Montello saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Schumann, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

Montello's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Pardeeville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3-1.

While Montello had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
